About the Purse Project York Region
The Purse Project York Region was established in 2016 when our Founder, Sandra Moniz-Prencipe decided to donate purses she no longer needed and invited others to do the same. An annual campaign then began, with the goal of giving purse and bags and full of life’s little necessities to people in need every spring.
We are proud to promote kindness and solidarity with the assistance of many, collectively we can make a positive impact on the lives of many, offering them a sense of dignity, care, and support during challenging times. To date, the Purse Project York Region has donated over 6,000 purses and bags filled with amenities to over 40 non-profit organizations and community groups.
